Poetry Community 

Powow River Poets participate in a number of events each year at the April Newburyport Literary Festival including the popular Breakfast With the Poets feature that leads off the Festival.  

More recently, Powows have also taken part in the  Massachusetts Poetry Festival held in Lowell each October and the New Hampshire Poetry Fest held in Concord, N.H. in September. Members have cooperated actively with the Newburyport Art Association in providing a Melopoeia performance of poetry and classic guitar in conjunction with NAA fund-raising events.  Additionally, the Powow River Poets work with young poets at Newburyport High School.
